Every station of my career has been a translation job between worlds that rarely talk to each other.

I started as a journalist and editor, trained to take complicated matters apart and put them back together so they could be understood, on deadline, under scrutiny. That discipline never left.

Then came nearly two decades of founding and running my own agencies: in Barcelona and Falmouth, Cornwall, later in Munich and Berlin. Bigger operations than today’s firm, with teams, key accounts and product development, and with communications at the centre throughout, including crisis communications. Reactive then, strategic now. Those years built the services this firm offers today, long before they had names.

In between, I led international communications for one of Europe’s large advocacy organisations, coordinating press work across thirteen country offices, which taught me how differently the same message lands in different political cultures.

Today I run an advisory firm. The newest layer of the work is the machine room: I build and operate AI-supported intelligence and communication structures myself, daily, in live use. I advise on these systems because I run them, not the other way around.

What connects the stations: simplifying without flattening, building trust across borders and hierarchies, and staying in the room when it gets difficult.
